V.V. RAMANAN, your host for 16th edition of The Hindu Young World Quiz, has been fascinated with facts and trivia for as long as he can remember and been quizzing for more than three decades now.

The resident quizmaster at The Hindu, Ramanan conceived the live, multi-city The Hindu Young World Quiz in 2000 and has been hosting it since then.

Popularly known as Ramana in the quizzing circuit, he has won many a top prize at myriad types of quizzes across the country

He wrote the much-appreciated weekly quiz column for The Hindu Young World for nearly 15 years. He also writes quizzes across other publications from the reputed media house.

A regional finalist in BBC’s Mastermind India and part of an expert ‘Triguni’ panel in Kaun Banega Crorepati, Ramanan has helped conduct quizzes at various forums.

He has authored three books (The Hindu Young World Quiz Book Vol. 1 & 2 and The Penguin India Quiz Book) for the Penguin Group.

A man of varied interests, Ramanan works as a Deputy Editor on the Sports Desk at The Hindu.
